Finally, I'm making my first blog post of the year for 2013. I've been busy being sick and trying to write when I'm not too ill, and then keep up with reading all at the same time.
Sorry I haven't been blogging much, lately. I don't see it as my biggest priority anymore, as I think writing is way more important. But, I will still blog every now and then. I'm glad I made so many really cool writer friends ever since I started this blog last May! You guys are incredibly cool, so I hope to still keep up with you all and meet some more new friends this year, too.
Happy New Year to everyone!
Welcome to the blog home of Cathy Keaton, would-be author. Follow my adventures as I do writer-y things and actually try to finish a manuscript!

A lot of people were sick over the holidays.
ReplyDeleteAnd the community of writers here is amazing.
@Alex: I was sick after the holidays, technically, and still am.
DeleteThanks for being one of those amazing writers in the community! :D
Yay! Glad to see you won't be giving up on the blog altogether. I agree that blogs shouldn't be the main priority. I just have to stop myself from feeling guilty for not visiting as regularly as I used to on some other blogs.
ReplyDelete@Lan: Yeah, I'm not planning on giving up on blogging over here. I'm just retiring my book blog.
DeleteI don't want to spend as much time blogging and networking as I used to because it makes me spend time away from writing and developing my manuscript. I think that's more important.
Happy New Year! And I'm glad to hear you're feeling better. :)
ReplyDelete@Cherie: Thank you! Happy New Year to you, too...;)
DeleteI'm glad you're feeling better and made your first post of 2013. I've been a bit uninspired with blog posts, too (and with writing in general). I hope 2013 gives us some energy soon! :-)
ReplyDelete@Lexa: Thanks so much! Yeah, it's been hard coming up with ideas of what to post about, since nothing is very exciting in my life. I hope you can figure out what to blog about, too! :)
DeleteHey Cathy! Do you ever read J.A. Konrath's blog? He's a big indie author, and the one thing he always says is: write, write, write. He even encourages authors to do less social networking (gasp!) and more writing. :) So I think you've got the right idea. I've been thinking about scaling back myself lately. Hope you are having fun working on your ms!
ReplyDeleteGood luck on your writing!
ReplyDeleteAnd I agree with you, writing is much more important.
@Misha: Thank you! ;)
DeleteWe all have our priorities and there's nothing wrong with that! Happy New Year!
ReplyDelete@Randi: That's right! Happy New Year to you, too. ;)
DeleteHappy new year! I'm in a blogging slump too, mostly because I'm busy studying for the bar exam. Here's to getting back to blogging some time this year when it works well into your life!
ReplyDelete@Alison: Happy New Year to you, too! I hope you get over your blogging slump soon. ;)
